After looking at the prospectus, it does look like AMCC is trading at a pretty good discount. It's prospects also look great. The revenue growth looks good too. I would like to see what analyst say about future earnings and revenue growth.

Regarding silicon versus GaAs (Gallium Arsenide):

From the prospectus, the last earnings release was on September 30th. So Q3 earnings release will be probably at the end of December or early January 98.
