"why would you"..."object to a tribe deciding for themselves what is morally acceptable"? You remember! He was gathering sticks on the seventh and the tribe asked Yahweh what to do and Yahweh said, "KILL HIM"! Hardly a civilized perspective on human rights and freedoms! Why not kill homosexuals and raped women as the bible commands?! If a man should be killed for trying to warm a fire for his family??? Wonderfully gratuitous and relative morals? YIKES! YOU don't still believe in murdering such people, do you?! "why would you object to a tribe deciding for themselves what is morally acceptable?" I don't object to their Right to decide their own moral codes. But some moral codes offend my love for Reason and Humanity. My moral code permits me to intervene in certain circumstances where ignorant and superstitious people are offending me and my values. This is why millions of people (such as myself) cooperated in world wars and mutual values to battle and to bring down what we considered immoral force against the innocent.
