Franco:

You may be right about Dell selling these days. Possibly, large funds had accummulated too much of Dell earlier. They may be realizing now that Dell is likely to head into same problem as Intel did in January-April this year. It is quite possible that Dell already hit its peak for this year. But, the fact remains that there are not many stocks around with the same kind of success story as that of Dell at this time. How long the big fund managers will keep on funneling money into Drug stocks - oil drillers and financial stocks having already gone out of favor? Also, there are a large number of aggressive funds that cater to technology. What are they going to buy?

Don't forget what happened to Vinik (Fidelity Magellan guy) when he kept on dumping technology stocks when others were buying technology stocks. It is very difficult to stay out of technology for too long for any fund manager. But, of course, there is always a question of the right price to buy and sell. I believe that these guys have already got a number of chances this year to load up on all kinds of technology stocks - first, thanks to Alan Greenspan's terror, and now, due to East Asian terror. It is possible that very soon we may be witnessing a long-awaited upward trend to close out this momentous year on a positive note. Probably, it may be a week or two after Thanksgiving when the big guys would have returned and sized up all the developments from still unfoding drama in East Asia (& Latin America). In the meantime, expect more tremors.

Good Luck

Sounds to me like you made a bad decision and are praying that someone will follow suit to bail you out.

Take your losses and run!
