darrell, cpq said that sales where flat last month and they were attacking agressively with only the sub 1000 pc and that it has turned it around and selling like hot cakes.
but the flat ref. was the oct 96 to 97 oct number..that was flat.

they have since said that as of oct and nov. they can't keep enough sub 1000 pc's on hand in asia

asia not china...and sub zero pc is winning again

Server sales and short-sighted investors.
Darrell: I was wondering why CPQ stock has been under pressure last few days,particularly today. I think the reason might be that Server sales figures. According to some report i was reading CPQ's server market share sliped a bit in Q3, even though CPQ is still the world leader in Servers. This could be another example how short-sighted investors can be. Oh,well i am not going to loose any sleep over it.
