Bull. I know several attorneys, good attorneys, who are working as judge's clerks, and in business/management jobs, because the field is flooded. You're two, maybe three, decades behind, or just too obstinate to admit your profession is becoming overcrowded and unpopular as a career option.

We have attorneys selling cars, Kenneth ... and selling real estate ... because they can't make it in law practice these days. You need to get with the program, sir. Don't allow your personal prejudices to cloud your view of the world.

even today a very average or ordinary attorney can earn substantially more money than a top-flight teacher
They will work 2-3x more hours to do it.
