>> We had LESS success during the Clinton years?

There seems to be a great deal of confusion among liberals on this subject, and you're no exception.

You should understand that capital gain rates were cut in '97 by a reluctant Clinton, the direct result of which was a tripling in capital investment and great economy that lasted a few years and nearly eliminated the deficit for a year (not quite, contrary to popular belief).

In the early years of the Clinton administration, he was the beneficiary of the end of Bush recession, which as normally happens when coming out of a recession, led to a bit of a mini-boom. But the tax cuts of '97 are what really fueled the economy under Clinton and took it from a more or less normal recovery situation to a boom economy.

"We had LESS success during the Clinton years?"

Clinton wasn't responsible for the success we had during his term. It was his VP Gore who invented the Internet that was responsible.
