Nobody's talking about raising the cap gain rate, Dave. Actually, Obama has proposed lowering or eliminating the cap gain rate. We're talking about raising the INCOME TAX rate on wealthy individuals to Clinton-era levels. Why is the (R) party SO opposed?


I'm not sure where you got that idea but if you want to increase taxes on the wealthy, as in the Buffet Rule, you are going to have to tax capital gains at a higher rate. Period, end of story.
