Silicon Valley and Redmond Washington have minted quite a few non union worker millionaires, to name just a couple of instances. I wouldn't mind being so "unfairly exploited"..

Define fair. When someone accepts employment, they should understand the terms and conditions of that employment. By definition, their acceptance of those terms proves that they are fair.
