I agree with you. You missed the context of the debate. Koan and others on this thread have started this line of thinking that none of us should ever question Krugman, because he's so smart and accomplished. But I simply pointed out that this is a pretty stupid line of thinking. If we were to abdicate our brains to smart people who have fancy degrees, then we'd also be giving up our Freedom and our responsibility to educate ourselves to ensure we elect leaders who do what the electorate wants them to do. The minute you start thinking that our leaders are smarter than us, you are on the path to Tyranny.
