"First of all this is NOT a SCIENCE THREAD" The fact that it is a discussion of the Science of Evolution means that you will encounter scientific information and opinion from the posters. Surely you have realized that by now?? Nobody says you cannot discuss superstition or magic. But you did say you were not here to discredit science, so that (unless you were lying) certainly puts you on side with basic Scientific knowledge as we teach science in our schools and universities and as we utilize science to understand our world and how things work. The point is, although Science is not an exact understanding of reality, it is nevertheless a very thorough, comprehensive, and undisputed guide to much of our world. So if you were to say the earth was the same age as the universe or that dinosaurs lived with people or that demons cause leprosy or tuberculosis, then you would be insulting and attempting to discredit knowledge that is not in dispute and is completely reliable. But you said you were not here to discredit science. That is great! So you admit that the age of the earth and the universe are BILLIONS of years apart!!
