I vote for every resonable bond issue and higher taxes when needed (which is most of the time) and people who want higher taxes when they are needed. That is the proper role for me. And I think I am a very generous person. I charge the women who rents from me downstairs one half the normal rent up here. I can get $2,000 plus utilities and I charge her $1,100 plus I pay for all utilities, because she has had a hard life, and is on assitance and cannot afford any more. I don't just talk the talk, I walk the walk and always have. I put both kids through college and they never had to pay a dime, bought them cars and gave them money to travel and spend and I took care of my mom for the last 20 years of her life and gave her my house to live in and I rented a little condo.
