Agree with you 100%.

Its similar to the hypocrisy of those who decried the liberal invective thrown at GWB and his family.....but who now throw all that and worse at Obama and his family.............(e.g, like insinuating that Obama molests his own daughters or that Mrs. Obama is a smelly feces throwing ape). And that kind of hypocrisy is bound to backfire....and end up helping the party it targets....

J.

I will never buy this idea that someone's entire world view can be knocked 90 degrees off kilter because of the hypocrisy of one politician.

I have a nephew who could be a conservative but he is put off by Bush's (hence Republican in his eyes) insincerity on drugs
If he's that wobbly than there are plenty of liberal hypocrites to drive him back the other direction.

Exellent. The smell of "cover up," "nuancing an issue," or "spinning" is always far worse than just coming clean on something regrettable...then model the way to a higher standard.

OK, I'll take the last words ..

It worked well enough that Bush was comfortably re-elected for his second term ...

We'll see how Obama's 'truth' works for him. That seems to be the only thing 'true' the man has said since he came on the scene.

You might point that out to your nephew, and maybe, thereby, get another vote for Romney in November.
