No, anyone but Assad is what Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia think, who know the region. Heaven know what, if anything, Obama thinks; his policy is totally incoherent. He's now appealing to Russia, which is openly backing Assad, to help him remove Assad. That makes sense, right? I think Obama trusts Turkish PM Erdogan as his expert on Syria, but Erdogan is leading him a dance, being full of foolish neo-Ottoman ambitions about taking over Syria, a prospect with no chance of becoming reality.
