Or maybe Argentina realize that wealth acquisition is a zero-sum game. Taking back their oil/gas company helps them keep wealth in the country. They are also going after agriculture( main export) that is owned by foreign investors. Spain is having problems and Argentina has a Oil Field(Vaca Muerta) that needs development. I suspect Argentina will partner up with a financially strong country(China possibly) to develop the 22Billion barrels in Vaca Muerta.

I find TEO interesting no debt, high ROE, earnings, rev growth Mobile(3g/4g)&Broadband is in high demand in argentina. From what I have read the fix line business is regulated but the growth is in mobile&broadband. TEO controls northern part of argentina fix line business with non expiring license. They are upgrading their network to provide triple play services. By the way, Mark Mobius was investing in Argentina at the beginning of this year. He is betting on the consumers in argentina.
