We don't need a public option to address waste. Infact, we have medicare right now (public option for the 65+ crowd) and there is plenty of waste in that program. I have tried to formulate the problem as I see it and you have as well. Basically, you and I cannot even agree on a definition of the problem. I don't expect Reps and Dems to do any better. >> we need to move the "for profit" insurance companies out of the health care business. I absolutely agree with this. And that process should start by eliminating the tax deduction for healthcare expenses and insurance. Poor people and working people should be exposed to the same cost structure.
