Oh, thanks so much, Lane3. My cardio and I have some interesting discussions. I am forever trying to convert him from his total reliance upon drugs and surgery as the best and only solution to all heart problems to a realization that nutrition and exercise can be better if slower, far less destructive and can yield a safer, longer lasting result in many cases (such as my own!). I bring him articles I find online, and he actually reads them and we discuss the concepts.

He once suggested putting me on a statin because my total cholesterol is 275 -- LDL 162 (but over 90% large, bouyant, Pattern A) with my Trigs a very low 27, HDL-C a very high 108 (HDL-P 32.6). I said no way would I ever take a statin and proceeded to inundate him with articles enumerating the various negative side effects of taking statins. But he complains that I bring him rehashes of studies instead of the report of the studies themselves, so I particularly wanted the original of this one to give him.

Thanks again.
