Ken,

<I am checking other resources on the Y2K issue and how it might impact the non-profit/charitable org. areas.>

Here's a VERY important discussion group you should read or get involved with:

Society for Information Management Year 2000 Working Group -
year2000.unt.edu Free, immediate registration
Year 2000 - Embedded Systems discussion group

Non-profits/charities/schools have been discussed (though you also have to read thru some other seemingly non-relevant things). However, once you get in ... you realize that things you didn't think were important to you ... actually are! It's a real eye-opener.

You particularly want to read the PC section. Non-profits have a lot of old equipment that corporations have been, and still are, contributing. Even though it's not supposed to be done ... often times, pirated software is used. There's a discussion about that too. Much of this equipment & software will not work properly come Jan 1, 2000.

It's DEFINITELY worthwhile to go thru the other groups (non-profits mentioned there ... but can't remember which groups.)

Cut & Paste to Word, the areas applicable to you. That's how I'm tracking my info.

Cheryl
