One other point about making the plant some distance from the current facility. None of you people have ever driven past Syncrude to SOLV or the Community of Fort McKay but if you did you can't help but go under the cloud. There are some emissions of (I'd guess) harmless steam etc from a plant of that size. In a word the sky is totally wiped out, it's rather depressing to say the least and In Big Sky Alberta everyone wants to see the sky. Would you want to live under an eternal cloud? Basically what I'm saying is that for the Community of Fort McKay's sake it may be in the best interests of Syncrude to locate this major facility to the East of their home. In Alberta the prevaling wind is almost always west.

Two points in relation to above comments. Have you ever walked by a store front (or someones home or the dash of their vehicle) and looked at the display. You have seen it just once while they have seen it hundreds of times. You say what a mess, there is junk here, garbage there but to them, they see it every day and it's ok, natural, they live in it and it's natural to them. Second point lots of Albertans retire in Southern British Columbia, Canada. In the summer it is beautfil. Mountain setting, lakes, Golf courses etc.etc. The problem is winter comes and you don't see the sun for months at a time. It's very depressing and many people can't handle it. We like the sun and are used to it.

Sometimes I think too much
