Debt has nothing to do with the problems we are saying today. Instead the policies of the early 2000's caused a massive transfer of wealth from the hands of Americans to those of a few who run the military industrial complex, the oil barons (Arab countries) etc. Keystone pipeline or not, we did face sky high oil prices even when two oilmen occupied the WH between 2000-2008. Let us stop taking part in foreign wars, let us find alternative sources of energy so that we cut our dependency on Arab and Venezuelan oil. The only we would be severely curtailing the transfer of wealth from the 99% to the 1%.
