I would not expect them to have first hand knowledge -- not many around today actually do. But how come they don't teach history? Especially such a hideous history that should NEVER be forgotten.

When I was in grade school, I remember barely making it to WWI in the book.

I'd like to see someone create a textbook or class where you taught "both ends" of history, each class some time spent on the beginnings of America and some time spent on recent history.

Of course the contrast would be so obvious, I would hope some kids would start asking what in the hell are we doing today?
