Hi Tom,

Glad to have you back...

I have to go soon, but I thought I'd say what's on my mind.

One of the things that has bothered me about TQNT has been the lack of competitive designs. To say that you have a GaAs foundry doesn't mean you will grow like ANAD. But now I have seen some good products.

They have new 3V GaAs power amps for both (D)AMPS and PCS(1900MHz). This is ahead of ANAD, who are the undisputed kings of GaAs PAs.

I have also been the one to say the PAs are the key to success in GaAs. Now I believe they can get some design wins with these new products. I'll fill you in later on the differences when I have time.

I know how you feel about Sharpe. He guides like a blind man. Drew stuck his neck out for him, and it got chopped. I am only afraid that it may take time for the street to recognize their new products. This is a 6 to 12 month investment for me. Heck, I have time...

Tom, glad to see you back. I got in 1/2 with a few reasons:
1) New design win
2) New 52 week low, over sold (My opinion, we have to wait til the market react)
3) The factory are now running smooth and busy
4) These dogs should know how to protect the investors interest by now (G).
5) I don't want to miss the run-up, maybe it is a low risk at this price. It make sense for a long term investment.
6) Employees are buying at this price.
7) It will pop up in the list of a bargain hunting list.

Anyway I load up only 1/2 due to the following reasons:
Risk:
1) The first 2-3 weeks into 4Q, they are not busy. 4Q earning?
2) The big guys dumped these shares, they got scare.
3) There is more FAB plants consolidation? I am not sure, need more research.

Hopefully the smoke clear by Jan and smooth sailing in 98. I make assuption that ASIA problem is the past. I plan to load up the another half in 1Q 98.
