I suffered a Norton's Nuroma in the 90s and I limped for several years before surgery. The surgery was through the bottom of my foot and it was a complete success except for the 2" long scar which was inflamed and hurt for a couple of years as well. I traded one problem for another in the exact same location. I couldn't walk 200 yards. No Doctor could offer any relief except for cortisone shots which I refused. One day I visited a Physiotherapist and she started scuffing the bottom of my foot with a coarse rag and insisted I go to the local highschool track and start walking barefoot to build up callouses. It was a miracle and within a couple of weeks I was running again to my great joy after years of pain! The Doctors had nothing to offer but that lady changed my life.
