It's about 7 ounces a bag popped at the supermarket, so 114 bags. You'd definitely need a truck.

Annie, now that's heavy!

So to make a long story short:

As I worked hard all night tolerating annoying neighbors pounding on the walls as I MOL'd and POL'd AMV (meditated out loud and pontificated out loud at maximum volume) on the problem, I came to a firm conclusion.

First I really should get more sleep and not worry so much about these mysteries of the universe.

Second I did get an answer from the voices in my head as to which (and not what) is heavier - 50 pounds of gold or 50 pounds of popcorn.

The proof and conclusion is easy.

Put each on the street in a human neighborhood and go away for a while.

When you come back, you'll find the popcorn still there and the gold gone.

Obviously that means that the popcorn was too heavy to carry away but the gold was light enough.

If you do the same in an ant neighborhood, the popcorn will be gone because ants can carry much more heavier things than humans compared to their body weight.

QED.

Next!
