This is the scenario: Joe Biden will still be the VP for 2012 election. Hillary will not be because she is exhausted from travelling all over the world as Secretary of State. Should Obama win in November, Hillary will resign as SoSt, and Biden will take her post. Obama will appoint Hillary as his VP. This is his payback to Hillary for doing such a good job as SoSt so that she can be a VP without doing the rigorous campaigning. Two possible scenarios after that: a. Hillary will run for POTUS in 2016 b. Before 2014 Obama will resign as POTUS and Hillary will take over. Since Obama is serving less than 1 1/2 term, he can run again for one more term in 2020.
