I guess, then, it's better to fail in a hurry than to succeed slowly -- better to run over the cliff than to walk slowly in another direction?

To All: I am New to this group. You may have already discussed my question. When I downloaded Explorer 4.0 the install process made quite a few changes to the win 95 operating system that kind of married it to windows 95. When explorer crashes I can recover from just resetting the active desktop. It is obvious that there has been a very concious attempt to glue the two things toghether.

It is a pitty but for about a year I have been using explorer. I would rather not to but it is so readily available. I recall that at some point the dummies over at Netscape were charging for 3.0 that is when [if my memory does not fail me] I made the switch. Do you think there is any hope of stopping MSFT this late?
