Photo ID, please Last Updated: 2:46 AM, June 6, 2012

Sometimes you just gotta wonder what people are thinking.

Across the country, liberal Democrats at the Obama Justice Department and so-called “civil liberties” groups are fighting tooth and nail to prevent laws that require people to present identification before they can vote — now mandated by fully 31 states.

They are especially torqued about a law requiring photo-ID for polling-place access, which they allege would “disenfranchise” lower-income and minority voters who don’t carry photo identification.

We couldn’t disagree more.

Photo ID requirements would go a long way toward preventing voter fraud — by making sure people who want to vote are who they say they are. We see it as a way to prevent not legitimate voting, but cheating — irrespective of race and/or income.

Let’s face it: the complaint is absurd on its face. Photo IDs are a fact of life in America, and have been for years.

Case in point: Democrats in Massachusetts demanded that anyone who wanted to attend their convention in Springfield last weekend produce . . . you guessed it, a photo ID.

So you would have needed a photo ID to prove you belong with a gaggle of sign-toting conventioneers in funny hats — but you can just wander in off the street to perform the single act that defines our democracy?

Even richer is the irony that just days before their convention, Massachusetts Democrats stalled progress of a voter-ID bill in the Legislature.

Eight states have strengthened their voter-ID laws last year, including Rhode Island, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Texas. It’s an idea that makes sense — as even Bay State Democrats know in their hearts.

"I did not make a prediction on the Recall election."

Not in so many words but looking back on your posts over the past several months, it's clear you expected the recall of Walker. You fool nobody, Kenneth.

I did not make a prediction on the Recall election.

Surely you didn't say "I can hardly wait for Scott Walker's recall election next year" anticipating getting all of your marxist asses beaten. No, you must've just wanted an excuse to tie one on or roll a few more - you know, party like it's 1917 again. So, can you hardly wait for November 6th, too?
