From interviews and articles I have read the teachers against the thug teacher's union by the thousands and have left the union altogether. It has been my experience that unions are a pain in the ass for most members now days. If the government stops taking their dues directly from their checks the only people who volunteer it are intimidated by union stewards. More teachers will leave and so will the other state union workers. Their jobs are already protected by civil service etc regulation.
