If we were able to have that kind of discussion without a flame war, I'd say the eternal vendetta you mentioned might just be a figment of your imagination.

I recently was forwarded some posts in which I was not only being discussed, by folks whom I never talk to, but found they were also handing around personal pictures of me- pictures taken years ago. Eternal vendettas indeed. Bill was a member of that rather large and ugly discussion. Nothing you can do about it except ignore them. Hate has an interesting life of its own, and clearly consumes some people. I find it disturbing, but I'm also pretty sure its incurable.
