In your post that I responded to, you indicated that Democrats and unions were tied at the hip. So I just decided to tie you with FOX News in return. Glad to know that your opinions are not based on what FOX says. Moving on, as an immigrant from S. Asia and a frequent business visit to that region, I do agree with you that countries in that region are prospering. And why not. We knew all along that globalization will spread prosperity across the globe. But what I do not subscribe to is the notion that as a consequence we have to deplete prosperity in our society. No not in America. This is has the ability to retain their leadership role in the sciences, technology and biotechnology. And if we continue to excel at it, we will continue to have the edge as a wealthy nation. But to maintain that edge, we need to maintain our spending on higher education, good quality fundamental education and R&D. And most important of all. Let let our dollars blow up into smoke through aimless wars in foreign lands. Robbing Peter to pay Paul is not kosher.
