When atheists complain about evil, it is not about evil as in an evil god. It is about the wrongness of people hurting one another. An earthquake is not evil. It is simply an event that generally does some harm. The word "evil" is an old fashioned word for doing harm which unfortunately carries superstitious connotations. The fact that people have values for which they care is sufficient reason for complaint when those values are violated and when those whom they love are harmed. "No basis"? Baaaaa. ``If those children are more to you than a rhetorical weapon, do something about them`` Oh no! Now all posters must publicly disclose their charities before they are allowed to express their opinions! If they do not preface all their opinions with a full disclosure of all their donations for the day, week, and year they are to be condemned by default. Hmmm...sounds like grade school philosophy.
