Humans make the distinction between life and non-life. In the end it may turn out to be not that important. Everything that exists continues to change, and the carousel of life goes round and round. We have only tapped into the way other creatures are themselves tied into percieving the world , nothing like our own sensory complexes but totally unique & serves them as well that do not possess sight but can see infared & hear by echo location . Or adaptations for long migrations tied intimately into the seasons , position of the sun or the stars & some innate sense of north & south but accurately travelling the same path over & over again , for safety, food & reproduction . These are adaptations that took millions of years which is simply demonstrated in the turtles that migrate to the Galapgos Islands that themselves have drifted so that these sea turtles migration has elongated by a 1000mis still finds them home again . (Imagine a world going round & round for 1000 million yrs & thats just the 1rst three innings of the "circle game" of life of this planet . Almost too much to imagine that ..."1000 million yrs ". ) And how do we get from that primordial past all the way to this young Canadian songstress singing about it , it does so give one pause to reflect but perhaps its just simple & obvious because ALL things DO go in a CIRCLE & had that 3000 million yrs to assemble the nervous system to the point of being conscious of it . It almost touches you to the core to think of the incredibleness of it all . This idea that if i hear a symphony of beautiful music at the opera house , experience great wonders at the museum or enjoy the bounty of plentiful harvest & have plenty to eat in the circumstances i was born ...and looking at less fortunate people & would not be moved to want to share, to give & to help without knowing there was a "God" is pure nonsense . These fellows are nutz with this idea for i see human compassion like this well up in the hearts of many children universally that may never heard of a Christ or a Mohammed , its natural to us .
