Zing! Liberal Media Slams Obama As “Dazed And Confused” by Andrea Ryan on Saturday, June 9, 2012 thegatewaypundit.com

The leader of our country is “dazed and confused”.
At his press conference Friday, Obama delivered what the Liberal media described as a “stuttering”, “uncertain”, word-searching mess from a president “dazed and confused”. That’s because our dazed and confused president is a mess. And he created an even bigger mess for himself with his embarrassing press conference. Even Liberal Washington Post couldn’t re-craft his senseless, “meandering and stuttering performance”…and they didn’t even try, entitling their summary, “‘Uhhh,’ the president’s ‘uhhh’ press conference was ‘uhhh’ terrible”.
The Washington Post reported,
If you are president of the United States and you don’t have anything to say, don’t have a press conference to say it. If you’re the president of the United States and by Thursday it’s widely believed you’ve had one of the worst weeks of your presidency, take Friday off, and specifically avoid having a press conference.
Anytime you are president and you’re speaking in public at an ill-timed press conference after a bad week, try to have something to say, and do a good job in saying it. I watched the whole thing, but it’s not easy to think of one useful thing that he had to say. And what he said, he said very poorly. Was it just me, or did the president seem a little dazed and confused? He should have had a cup of coffee before the press conference.
And one more thing that’s a pet peeve. The president says “uhhh” too much. When I was a cable television news extra during the ‘90s and early 2000s, you learn early to purge your presentation of “uhhh.” Saying “uhhh” suggests uncertainty and is distracting. (And in my case, when it was accompanied by a Southern accent, it was even worse.) I don’t know what the president had in mind, but his own meandering, stuttering performance could not have done him any good with any audience. What was he, uhhh, thinking?
Perhaps the president and others are huddled in an after-action review meeting in the Oval Office right now. It appears no one at The White House wants to give the president bad news or an honest critique of his performance. Somebody should print this post and slide it under the Oval Office door immediately.
Even Obama’s teleprompter has nothing to say. But, President Narcissus thought he could magically mesmerize the country once again merely with his tide-receding, Earth healing presence. But, his game is up. The Liberal media isn’t filtering his nonsense into anything remotely sensible, anymore. He’s on his own with all his uhhhh-ing and thought-searching pauses to defend his mess of Socialist failures.

The Leftist media must be quitly pleading, “come on, sh*t for brains…help us out here.”
If this guy was getting anything close to normal treatment by the in the bag msm, he’d be absolutely finished. If he got the same kind of treatment as Bush received, his approval ratings would be below 20% Guaranteed.
How pathetic is it that the only thing this buffoon has going for him is an in the bag slobbering media?

He has ALWAYS spoke with the err, err, uhmms, empty confused looks even with that teleprompter. If Oblama would have been a republican he would have not even been elected dog catcher.

Figures, the Tea Party would have to defend this wonderful President of ours. Those media and Occupy wimps are useless. I want to point out that empirically, President Obama is absolutely right on this matter: the private sector is fine. The problem is that we’re not growing state and local government enough. Please… bear with me on this one.
At our county courthouse, we have a County Recorder clerk I’ll call “Mary.” Mary works in an office with four other full-time employees and has a remarkably difficult job of staying awake. In a county with less people in 400 square miles than there are on a typical DC apartment dwelling block, five people’s a whole lot of staffing for the occasional one or two visitors per hour who might need to register a boat, get a fishing license, pay taxes in person or look up a record. Five full time, salaried, senior employees who’ve been there for a minimum of ten years (Mary’s going on more than 25 years).
Mary’s sister “Marge” used to work in the Department of Motor Vehicles office next door, but the State of Iowa decided to automate and centralize that process. Marge and three other gals worked in that office, taking perhaps four or five applications for license renewal or new license a day. As President Obama has observed about those evil ATM machines, the State of Iowa slashed Marge, her three coworkers, and probably did the same across the state.
How’s this affect the economy? Marge, bless her heart, was large, along with the other gals in the office, and she had a healthy appetite (some said she ate like a horse). Rather than pack her lunch like some private sector miser, she’d walk across the square to the family style restaurant on all days except Thursday, when it was All You Can Eat Taco Day at the bar on the south side of the square. Marge and the girls would stimulate the economy every day they went to lunch, helping to employ $2.95/hour waitresses (plus tips, but please… have you ever seen someone like Marge leave a tip, particularly at a buffet on Taco Thursday?) in the private sector. Marge did lots of other things with her money, like buying that weekly box of wine at the grocery, buying state Lotto tickets, and renting entertainment at Captain Video to fill those otherwise lonely nights at home.
Now Marge is at home, collecting a fraction of her pay through early retirement. The other girls who weren’t there as long… who knows how much money they’re getting. The bar doesn’t sell half the tacos on Thursday and the family diner misses their regular company.
We need large Marges who don’t really work as much as they spend, much like our President and his wife who are very, very good at spending, riding 747s around the world on more vacation days than work, golfing, buying pies, ribs and fries (while reminding us in the private sector that we need to be miserly with our money and pay more taxes so we can give that money to the Barrys and Marges of the world).
Live large, Marge! We miss you, and so does President Obama!

#13 June 9, 2012 at 12:01 pm neverends commented: The msm doesn’t really give a damn about Bamey. They only care about liberal ideals and utopian dreams of a “perfect” socialist regime. It has been predicted that the msm would dump him in favor of another who could further their relentless ideals. If we’re at all lucky, that is really the case and Bamey will go down to defeat even if Elmer Fudd were the opposing candidate. The dem convention may well be worth watching!

I mean, seriously, Holy God, what is it going to take for some people to lose faith in this man? Bush had a 35% approval rating when the country was in FAR FAR better shape than it is now.
I guess it is better to have a nice smile and look good in a suit than it is to be evenly remotely competent.

#16 June 9, 2012 at 12:14 pm sandy commented: Obama decided to be endlessly fascinating, to hang with celebrities, take fabulous vacations, be seen throwing hoops and do a 24/7 photo op with nary a word being said about the mess he was making of this nation. Obama had the comeback for anyone having the temerity to attack his policies. The word Racist would slip from Obama’s lips and the detractor would turn into a pillar of salt.
4 years of a hellish economy as Obama aimlessly searches for another fundraiser with the cool people trying desperately to avoid all responsibility has taken its toll. People like Bill Clinton, Ed Rendell, and even Lanny Davis are on the attack. The left is livid and the right is saying I told you so.
No wonder Obama would rather pick his nose while having a press conference than give a straight answer. He doesn’t know the answer. It was all supposed to be soooooo easy.

They are almost always campaign speeches, filled with wish lists and self-congratulatory nonsense. The only one I found different to any significant degree was 2002's SOTU speech, coming just months after 9/11 and the invasion of Afghanistan. Otherwise, every President’s SOTU speeches follows a very predictable pattern:
The State of the Union is strong. Applause. It’s stronger because I’m up here and you’re not. Applause. Attack the Supreme Court [Obama only]. Here’s why my political party is awesome. Applause from one side of room. Here’s why the other party is a bunch of doody-heads. Applause from the same side of the room. Here’s a program I want you to pass. Applause. Here’s an Ordinary Average Guy whose story should convince you to pass my program. Television shot of Ordinary Average Guy. Applause. Repeat steps 6-14 about 874 times. Here’s a couple more reasons why I’m awesome. Applause. Opposition party then offers this in response (language warning):

These evenings are always reruns to a large extent. Usually, though, a President takes some effort to come up with a new way to say the same old BS. In this case, perhaps Obama should have followed the example set by Thomas Jefferson and literally mailed in his speech if he was going to do it figuratively.

The fact is, if you listen, the things he says are at least as idiotic as anything that Biden has managed to articulate. Of course, Biden sounds like the fool that he is. Barry manages to make his utterances sound thoughtful and professor-like.
Face it, without his teleprompter, Barry is a nitwit.
