I doubt the claim is true, but even if it were it wouldn't mean that much considering that most of the last 100,000 years the earth was in an ICE AGE.

Speaking of Greenland:

Current temperature on the Antarctic ice sheet is -106 degrees. Temperatures only need to increase by 138 degrees to start the big meltdown.
