In the meantime here are some Good Morning Vietnam facts and figures to keep you seeing through those NOVL numbers loud and clear.

-1- The 30 largest companies in Korea have a debt averaging 4 times their equity.

-2- Of some $150 billion in foriegn debt owed by the chaebol, some 25% is owed to Japanese banks.

-3- A decline of the Nikkei average of 5% from current levels will wipe out the capital of every major bank in Japan.

-4- A decline of the Nikkei average of 10% from current levels will result in 100 billion dollars in losses to those banks.

-5- Japan holds 25% of all foriegn holdings of US Treasuries, some 321 billion dollars worth.

The best stocks on the Nikkei tonight are the "exporters". Dollar at 127.3 Yen. Any one own a Kia? They went bankrupt.
