PROPERTY ACQUISITION / Kappa Energy Successful Egyptian Bidder KAPPA RECEIVES NOTIFICATION OF SUCCESSFUL EGYPTIAN BID CALGARY, Nov. 25 /CNW/ - KAPPA Energy Company Inc. announced today that it has received notification from the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (''EGPC'') that the EGPC Exploration Offers Committee has approved Kappa's offer for Block ''E'' North West Gemsa. Block ''E'' is located primarily onshore the west-side of the southern Gulf of Suez. The award is subject to the approval of EGPC's Board of Directors following which final ratification is required from the Government of Egypt. Kappa anticipates that this process may take up to six months. KAPPA Energy Company Inc. is a Calgary based international oil and gas company with current operations in Colombia and the Republic of Yemen.
