Whether or not you can find news reports on the popularity of the Tea Party has nothing to do with the effectiveness of the Tea Party movement going forward. It is not something so easily defined as to be able to poll on it, and I would not trust your (presumed) left wing sources. I am tickled to death that you don't see what is happening. If you are a proxy for the standard misinformed left wing Democrat (and I think you are) then the Tea Party is winning this thing completely under the radar.
