US Banks Brace for Moody's Downgrades. Citi, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (JPM), Bank of America Corp. (BAC), Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) and Morgan Stanley (MS) are the U.S. banks on the list.

Different banks are facing different potential outcomes from the Moody's review. Bank of America might be downgraded one notch; Citi, Goldman, and J.P. Morgan two; and Morgan Stanley three, Moody's said. Under that scenario, Citi, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America would end up with the same rating, Baa2.

You Don't Have To Read Chinese To See Why This Chart Has Beijing Freaked Out

Joe Weisenthal|Jun. 8, 2012, 10:03 PM|6,514| 5

You don't really have to speak or read Chinese to understand this chart of Chinese inflation.

Stats.gov.cn

Month over month inflation (the yellow) line just went negative.

More broadly, inflation by any measure is quickly dropping. The 3.0% YOY reading (blue line) was below consensus estimates of 3.2%.

That's why China is panicking, and cut rates on Thursday morning.

Answer:
Italy's debt is 2 trillion euros which is 120% of GDP.
So the 80 million oz that they have should be worth 1 billion euros, so 1 oz = 12,500 euros.
So @ fx rate 1.28 the answer is ... $16,000.

<Re-rate gold to usd 160,000 for reset #2>

nice, would you still use a ~ 16/1 silver ratio?

personally, I think we'll eventually end up with a world wide bi-metal
currency situation and silver will have a better ratio.
