You should at least take a look at Ninja Trader. You can use the free version to chart and track your stocks or futures, etc. I feed my version from IB, but it's compatible with a number of data sources. I chart with NT and use Bracket Trader (another stand alone program I bot several years ago) to enter and exit trades. You can get along with just NT and IB as the trades are executed through them (or your existing broker).

Check ninjatrader.com for details. I found NO problem moving from QT to NT a couple years ago. I really like it and their customer service is very nearly on a scale with Jerry Medved. Top notch....

FYI, there is some recent news from TD Amtd about QT:

Scroll down to the 5-31-12 posts. Don't know what this means in the long run about QT, but it's better news than anything I've heard before.
