>> Europe chose Republican austerity; Obama chose spending. Europe is sinking deeper into recession. The US is in recovery.

As Tim pointed out last night, Europe did NOT choose "austerity":

Secondly, to suggest the US is "in recovery" is just as stupid as Obama's remarks last week concerning the economy. Real economic growth at < 2% and falling is not "recovery". The economy is totally stagnant.

Only someone who lives on the taxpayer dole would see this economy as being "in recovery". Even in my business, where the government has dumped $30 Billion in taxpayer money into it, businesses aren't spending because they cannot see what the future holds.

If you think this economy is in "recovery" you're either ignorant or stupid. (In your case, both).

Ted,
Conservatives are getting voted out of office in Europe because their policies are failing.
Wrong. Conservatives are getting voted out of office in Europe because their policies are WORKING.

Austerity is meant to bring about short-term pain for long-term gain.

Europeans can't stand the short-term pain.
