John,
If I might add my two cents, I think the strongest GATs so far have been PIR and DVD.
I think DVD's confirming signal will be strong volume and a move over 22 1/4 making a new current high.
PIR has given a pretty good confirmation already. It also has more day-to-day volume than the others so it's probably a little safer in terms of moving in and out quickly if need be.

I'd be interested in Al's opinion too!

Ken - Shorts, gappers, and INFU dolls...
The only shorts I know about have valentines on them. I have an IRA account! RE: INFU, it does seem awfully high, but I'll be more interested in it as a short when some moving averages start to cross (down). There WAS a doll in previous use, but I don't know who has it, you could dress it up like INFU...
RE: Gappers,

COA - Coachman Ind., stochastics 14,3,4 are at 70% (it's TIME~), and MACD is crossing the zero line even as we speak, RSI is rising, moneyflow is rising, and a small cup-and-handle is forming now. It has stayed in an uptrend since 7/24/97. I'd sure like to see more volume though.

PIR looks very strong, but the moneyflow is weak still, and MACD shows it getting a bit toppy. My guess is that it has farther to go however. I'd keep my finger on the trigger.

All the rest seem to me to have some work to do, e.g. cups with no handles, etc.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

-Al
