"How many innocent people die from drug overdoses? How many innocent people die from drugged up drivers?"

About five times as many people die from drugs that the FDA has said are safe and effective, than do from illegal ones.

The largest numbers of people being killed on the road are from alcohol use.

None of the above apply to marijuana. People don't die from marijuana overdoses (I've been trying for years now). And people are better drivers after they've been smoking. Unless they aren't used to it.

Most of those "lost lives" you are asking about take place because of an arrest. A young person is caught with a small bag of pot ant their entire lives are ruined. They can't get a higher education because they are locked out of financial aid.

That is a life sentence. Even if it isn't a felony. Marijuana on the record condemns the person to a life time of poverty. It goes downhill from there.

Oh ..
BREAKING NEWS: NY General Assembly passes medical marijuana measure 90-50! Onwards to the Senate. More info incoming.
