The fact is that judgement is necessary for social cooperation. The trouble is that religious judgement is irrational and runs between Demon Doomed and Jesus Justified--no middle ground. The truth is that most people are just people conditioned by their birth and environment. The "religiosity" thing requires Demons of one sort or another. It is just the way it is for such people...
