There is no requirement that you be notified. Once the class action law suit establishes the time period for their complaint all shareholders are automatically included. No one has slighted you. The pennies you got by selling may turn out to be the best you could have done. I have no expectation that shareholders will get anything out of this mess. If the Trustee's lawsuit against the SEC (for control of the monies collected by disgorgement and penalties)is successful the shareholders will get nothing since the Trustee would then pay off the creditors and the estate would get the rest. Of course the Trustee has a biased interest in this money for if they control it they could then get their bills paid from it.
