CRS,

I don't understand what yo are trying to say.

Partnership with IBM??? Who said that or that anything would come out of it. I sure didn't and for a matter of fact know that nothing more than was stated in the release will come out of the release.

No money in the selling of gateway equipmnt???? Who are you tring to kid. Somebody has to supply the ammunitiion for the war about to begin. Although the big money will be on the service side, BIG MONEY will be made by the leaders in the product development side.

German co building an IT network for $500M????? Please tell me who is supplying their equipment.

<<<Just how far apart.........not mean that you will automatically make money.>>> Have you tested any of these products first hand??? FTEL and Inertel are of the same quality while some of the others lag behind. In all fairness, I have never heard MICOM, and assume from product reviews that it also is of the same quality. %5, no way. Try 25-40% as far a some products are concearned. Big difference and a BIG DEAL in the communication needs of compnies today.

DH

Hi crs,

Actually the money is in manufacturing them and operating them. The amounts may be different, but the manufacturers will be smaller gateways companies like INTL, NSPK, Voclf etc, and the operators will be MCI, AT&T etc. And then there will be Lucent which counts as a big manufacturer. And FTEL that counts as a small manufacturer and operator. And there are names that just happen to be forefront in my head. You are right that eventually the gateways will become comodities and the margins will fall, but by then there will be something new to play with.

As far as the market, if I predict that in 15 years all telephony will be done over IP like networks, then the market is huge. Lots of players, lots of fun, lots of money.
