"Divx would introduce monopolistic participant to revenue stream."

Seems that the video boys are shaking in their snake-skin boots, even prior to the Divx release. Wonder how the music distributors are going to react once Divx introduces a system for music release. The real key to all this is the data base which Divx will control. This is real exciting stuff for Zenith, the first to sell Divx players. Also, certainly every Divx purchaser is a great candidate for a Zenith HDTV or SDTV.

Like to see more "best of breed" partners announced by Zenith. We're only about six weeks away from the International CES and Zenith needs best of breed partners from a wide variety of industries in order to provide the 80,000 convention participants (primarily, CE retailers) with a no-brainer, turn-key, HDTV package.

I'd like to visit Zenith's booth and be blown out with their HDTV package to include:

1. Affordable HDTVs and SDTVs ready for delivery by May.
2. Satellite dish option to receive HDTV transmissions.
3. Guarantee by one or more DBS companies for the delivery of HDTV transmissions at a fixed date (July 1?). Same thing for a few cable systems.
4. Guarantee from several content suppliers (HBO, ESPN) of providing HDTV content by a fixed date (July 1?).

It's a chicken and egg thing so it's up to the CE manufacturers to get their HDTV sets out on the market in order to spur HDTV content and delivery systems.

Lots of work to do and so little time..
