<<<< but insulted him along with Krugman>>>

We're seeing the end results play out in slow motion in Europe for Krugman-like keynesian stimulus spending. Greece can't do a keynesian spending because no one will loan them the money. And what money they do get has stipulations so that the lender has some chance of getting his money back. Spain too is right behind Greece and is having the same borrowing problems. ......In a democracy people continue to vote politicians in that promise and thus do the most for the people that vote them in. Lower and lower taxes, and more and more government handouts. The obvious end game is huge levels of debt. So Krugmans ideas might work in a small dictatorship like say - Cuba. But for the rest of the world it crazy.

I'm not sure of his reasoning, but David Frum gets it..."this is the first generation that will end up worse than their parents, and there is not a lot we can do about it.
