Actually I like the left coast ------it is beautiful. Redwing black birds are abundant just now with an occassional groundhog and deer here. I am not on the water----but have my pictures of Monterey area, Carmel and great memories of the beauty of San Francisco. ( Phantom of the Opera and Forever Tango---)

Here in the Santa Cruz Mountains on the left coast (surrounded by liberals -- it must be something in the water) it is a gorgeous day anyway. :)
California in general, and your part of California in particular, is blessed with amazing natural beauty. It's unfortunate a majority of the people living there are whack-jobs.
