It strikes me as incredibly odd that the industry has been dissing the NC in light of the fact that there has been little time to implement the depth and breadth of applications required to fuel this new form of business appliance. Microsoft is out there commissioning surveys, under the table no less, that purport to show that customers prefer fat clients. Wonderful, that's why Microsoft had decided they are going to focus on a leaner OS with leaner applications. Good luck in shrinking your legacy OS Microsoft.
