never talked about a personal god, why do you people keep talking about a personal god ? Not i... yet seems to be big subject for others , yet there sure have been some real rock stars out there , Einstein was one in his day and really too bad that all the great discoverers & creators , brave men & women down thru history lives always get eclipsed by these rote religions & the "fear god" dictatorial dogmas, accepted truths , "their histories" all mixed up with this medieval superstition . Superstition has an interesting root , Greek and Roman pagans, saw their relations with the gods in political and social terms and always scorned the man who constantly trembled with fear at the thought of the gods (deisidaimonia), as a slave might fear a cruel and capricious master. So the Romans called such fear of the gods superstitio thats why Christianity was outlawed as a superstitio Iudaica, a "Jewish superstition" . Of course later in 425 Theodosius outlaws the pagans as being superstitious after Rome becomes Christian & the wheel goes round & round . Don't you get the strongest feeling that this is all just a man made play we are witnessing being enacted down thru history of those who end up getting the sway for there have been just so many movements from one thing to another all down the long corridors of time . i do , very much so , for its all too capricious and the above points to this , its almost too obvious to me evidencing all is man made , or as a wise old King said " all is vanity, the vanity is all " .
