Somebody who also uses AOL and has more knowledge than I should post the latest response on CDMA sectorization by Klein G. It is a good explanation for the developing CDMA systems, with an added subtle comment about W-CDMA.

SAN PAULO, Brazil -- Nov. 24, 1997 -- Motorola, Inc.'s Cellular Infrastructure Group (CIG) has begun production of analog and digital Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) cellular base stations at its newly constructed state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Brazil.

New money from same-old Baby Boomers preparing for retirement.
Yes- just a steady stream, but I think it will provide for a rotating
rising market - maybe not what you would call a bull mkt, but
good enough to provide occasional short-term rallies, sector by
sector... ever more selective.
Perhaps this period will be the next thing after the 1994 'stealth
bear' mkt. How about a 'rising bear mkt'? Going by the average
length of 9-months for a bear, the last test of lows may occur in
April-May of 1998, near DJIA 7300.

Meanwhile, QCOM may hit 85-91 over the next 6-10 weeks,
as it approaches next earnings report period. The world needs
those CDMA phones, no matter what else happens. A 2-1
split at 90 would put it back at that 'favorite' price level of 45.
